Biography
Dr Brian Hin is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in radiotherapy treatment for upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers. He has an expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques including stereotactic radiotherapy and MR guided radiotherapy.
He graduated from Imperial College in 2008, having been awarded a 1st Class BSc Honours in Molecular Sciences with molecular and cellular biology in 2006 and won the Dudley prize for best performance in that degree. His specialist oncology training was completed at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Royal Surrey County Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital.
Dr Brian Hin undertook a research degree at the Institute of Cancer Research and was awarded an MD(res) in 2021. His research was centered on the use of adaptive radiotherapy and his work led to the first head and neck patient to be treated on the MR-Linac. He is particularly interested in using modern radiotherapy techniques including image guidance for optimising radiotherapy treatment and has been the principal investigator of a number of studies including leading a dose escalation trial for rectal cancers using MRI-guidance.
